"Workshop and Summit......"

The First National Engagement Workshop & Summit
Monday and Tuesday 16 & 17 August 2010

Employee Engagement is described as "an employee's involvement with, commitment to, and satisfaction with work.

Leading organisations know that employee engagement is a force that drives performance outcomes.

The Human Resource Practice's 2009 Employee Engagement Survey highlighted the critical importance of the employee - line manager relationship in employee engagement and consequently, overall performance. Due to the lack of management support, newly appointed managers float around, not being able to fully engage with their people.

The Human Resource Practice in collaboration with HCI Africa, have put together a hands-on workshop and 1 day Summit to address the problem of Employee Engagement. By attending the workshop, developed and headed up by Ruwayne Kock and facilitated together with Fred Guest, SHL South Africa and Craig Raath, 21st Century Pay Solutions, who bring together a wealth of knowledge in the field of engagement and retention of talent. Ruwayne is a shareholder at The Human Resource Practice, where he is the head of the consulting service line. A registered Industrial Psychologist, Ruwayne possesses a wealth of people management consulting experience in a variety of industries, including the Retail, Financial, Telecommunications and Public Service sectors. His consulting experience encompasses Strategic HR Management; Leadership; Talent Management; Employee Engagement; Organisational Design; Strategic Learning and Development; Organisation Development and Change Management, to name a few. Ruwayne is an executive board member of Human Capital Institute (HCI) Africa.

The hands-on workshop will assist you and guide you to put together a real Engagement Strategy that you will be able to take back to the work place to discuss and put an engagement campaign into place. The 1 day summit that follows the workshop, will allow you to gain further insight into the myths of Talent Engagement, how to take your engagement strategy to the next level, how to communicate correctly internally in order to make the changes necessary to engage with employees and managers alike.

There are real life case studies to learn from as well as research results that will be summarized in order for you to understand fully how to implement a successful engagement strategy within your organisation.
